It’s been eight months since the initial I Joined! training, and we’re 49.2% of the way through the 579 Lions, Lioness and Leo Clubs across the state. Eighty-one Lions Clubs across the state have scheduled their programs, and 204 clubs have already received the program!

I Joined! Tip

Many Lions Clubs have contributed a significant amount of money to the Michigan Eye-Bank over the past 30 years. Before you visit a club, call Lisa or Alison to request that club’s contribution history. Give them the stats, thank them for their support and remind them that they play a huge role in the success of the Eye-Bank.

I Joined! progress

The numbers are in! According to Gift of Life Michigan’s records, between September, 2008, when the I Joined! program began, and March, 2009, 1,287 people have joined the Donor Registry through the I Joined! program. Great work team!

Remember, not all Lions Clubs hold regular meetings in the summer. With only nine months left in the campaign, try squeezing in a few programs before the summer months hit, or getting on their calendar for early fall.
